Panasonic AF-100
Panasonic’s answer to the 5D got everything right except the image. This camera has pro ins and outs, but still records a highly compressed video image. And not the best one at that. Lifeless.
Sensor
1920x1080. The micro four-thirds sensor (17.3x13mm) sensor is nothing near a S35mm sensor, and their line of lenses is limited. 320 EI. 60fps at 720x1280.
Media
SD XC Memory cards. 1920x1080 8bit Mpeg4 AVC H.264 codec. Basically still a web codec, but the original image before compression is nowhere near the 5D, and hence, it suffers.
Post
Most post will transcoded to ProRes or MXF for anything but a simple straight edit without color grading.
Notes
Wanted more from this camera.
